PTA Fundraisers for 2010-2011
 
During hard economic times the last thing we want is to be asked again and again to participate in fundraisers.  Damascus Elementary School PTA has a schedule of fundraisers for the year and I want to share those with you so you know what is coming.  Please know that we do not expect you to participate in each one, or any of them.  In choosing the fundraisers we are hoping that they not only bring our school needed funds, but offer a useful quality product and service to our DES families.  We welcome comments and ideas about fundraisers and what you like and don’t like so we can improve each year.  Contact your PTA at DamascusESPTA@gmail.com  with comments and questions. September:  Sally Foster and AGI Fundraising
Sally Foster offers gift wrap, candies, and many other products.  The catalog and ordering is all online. There will be a charge for shipping under $75 and the items will go directly to you. Profited $5,307 in 2009-2010!

AGI Fundraising has many products from wrapping paper, jewelry, Paula Dean marinades, seasonal items, and gift cards.  The Mackenzie Collection 2010 catalog will be sent home and orders can be placed on an order form and returned to DES by 10/8 or online.  Ordered items will not have shipping or tax added.  The items will be at DES on Nov 11 & 12 to pickup during parent/teacher conferences.

October:   Octoberfest Silent Auction and Bake Sale
The Silent Auction is always a popular event.  DES families and businesses donate items to make baskets that are bid on and distributed during the Octoberfest.   DES families donate delicious baked goods that are for sale during the Octoberfest.  Made $3,000 for DES last year!

November:  KidStuff Coupon Savings Book
The KidStuff Coupon Savings Book will be sent home to all families to preview.  If you would like to purchase it, complete the order form and send in $25 and keep the book.  If not just return the book to the school.

December:  Winter Scholastic Book Fair 
The two book fairs profited $2,458 in 2009-2010!

March:   Family Fun Night with a Staff &Class Raffle

April:  Spring Scholastic Book Fair  

Painless Fundraising = FREE MONEY for DES
 
What is Painless Fundraising?
Some companies or stores offer money to schools from customers’ everyday shopping. Painless fundraising
allows people’s regular shopping to bring money to schools, at no additional cost to customers.

We participate in the following Painless Fundraisers:

BOX TOPS  - drop off in the lobby by the front office. Last year we profited $250!

CAMPBELL SOUP LABELS -  drop off in the lobby by the front office. Get in credits!

INK CARTRIDGE RECYCLING – drop off in the lobby by the front office. Made $200!

TARGET RedCard -  enroll your Target credit card in the RedCard program and go shopping.  1% of your purchases will be donated to DES.  Last year we earned $200!

SAFEWAY ESCRIPT -  Your grocery bill can make DES money just by registering your Safeway club card.   Last year we made $785!

GIANT’S A+ BONUS BUCKS -  Make DES money off your groceries by registering your club card. Last year we made $300!

Fill out the attachment and return to DES and we will do the work for you.
